It should be noted that this is a Federal funded project and Department of Labor Standards and Requirements must be satisfied for this work.
Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the Bid, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will within ten (10) days after written notice having been given of such award, enter into a written contract with the City of Thomasville, Georgia, in accordance with the accepted proposal. Insurance provider must also state that they can provide an insurance certificate in a timely manner that meets these same requirements.
The majority of the work to be done for this project is paving and does not require a licensed utility contractor to submit a bid. However, there may be portions of the project that by law requires a licensed utility contractor.
No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the request of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
Separate Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required.
