ADVERTISEMENT TO BID
Sealed bids will be received by the CITY OF THOMASVILLE, GEORGIA, in the Office of the City Engineer, 411 West Jackson Street, Thomasville, Georgia, until 10:00 A.M., local time, August 16, 2010, for furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment and performing all work required for Habersham Road Resurfacing within the CITY OF THOMASVILLE.
The work to be done shall consist of resurfacing and asphalt removal on Habersham Road (Metcalf Road to Dead End). This bid is to be awarded as one contract with a 30 day consecutive calendar day construction schedule.

Extra sets of specifications and bidding documents may be obtained upon payment of $25 per set. Extra sets of plans may be obtained upon payment of $50 per set. No refunds will be made.
It should be noted that this is a Federal funded project and Department of Labor Standards and Requirements must be satisfied for this work.

Insurance provider must also state that they can provide an insurance certificate in a timely manner that meets these same requirements.
The majority of the work to be done for this project is paving and does not require a licensed utility contractor to submit a bid. However, there may be portions of the project that by law requires a licensed utility contractor.
No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the request of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Separate Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required.
